Great Gorilla Christmas Raffle winners announced

The winning tickets for the 2018 Great Gorilla Raffle have been drawn at the Gorilla Organization’s head office in London.

The lucky winners were Mr. J. Boys, who won the top prize of £1,000; Jan Heath, who won £500, and Philip Green, who won £250. The raffle raised an incredible £14,000 to support the Gorilla Organization’s conservation and development projects in Africa.

Announcing the results, Senior Fundraising Manager Anna Somerset said: “Congratulations to the three winners, and our thanks to everyone who took part in this year’s raffle. It was great to hear that the main winner, Mr Boys, is a long-standing supporter of ours who has a passion for the natural world. We will put all the money raised by the raffle to good use protecting endangered gorillas and giving them a future in their own habitat.”

The Great Gorilla Raffle will return in 2019. Until then, you can still help gorillas by adopting a gorilla for Christmas!
