Name: Jim Bishop

Profile:
Jim has worked in the not-for-profit sector since 1991, including stints with Oxfam, Notting Hill Housing Trust and Camden Social Services before he joined the Gorilla Organization in April 2008. Jim has a lifelong passion for wildlife and in particular for gorillas, sharks, whales and dolphins.

Name: Andre Byamingu

Role: Walikale, Project Manager
Profile:
Formerly manager of Congo's acclaimed Lwrio Ape Sanctuary, Andre joined the Gorilla Organization in 2005 to manage gorilla monitoring and community-based conservation at the Walkale Community Reserve in rebel held territory in eastern Congo.

Profile:
Henry has been with the organistion for nearly a decade and has brought the Congolese programme through some of the most unstable times of the country’s history. Henry is an expert in the link between the survival of gorillas and the development of the communities.
 

Name: Chris Perrin
Location: London, UK
Role: Events Manager
Profile:
Chris joined the Gorilla Organization in 2014 and manages its portfolio of events, including the iconic Great Gorilla Run. He's the first point of contact for all the wonderful supporters, including Great Gorilla Runners, and works directly with corporate sponsors to make events as successful as possible.

David has been at the Gorilla Organization since February 2011. As well as looking after the Gorilla Organization's publications - including the Digit News newsletter - he also works with the media to make sure the plight of the gorillas is always in the news.

Name: Lydia Francis
Location: London, UK
Role: Individual Fundraising Officer
Profile: Lydia is an experienced and passionate conservationist who has studied elephants in South Africa and worked for a charity dedicated to the welfare of the world's big cats. At the Gorilla Organization she processes donations from our generous supporters and looks after our mailings. She also takes care of adoptions of mountain gorilla baby Iwacu.

Name: Beatrice Mukamana
Location: Ruhengeri, Rwanda
Role: Rwanda Administrative Assistant
Profile: Beatrice - or Betty as she is known to her friends and colleagues - is the first point contact visitors to the Ruhengeri Resource Centre have with the Gorilla Organization. As well as sharing her passion for conservation with members of the public, school groups and other NGOs, she takes care of administration at the centre, helping keep its varied projects on track.

Profile: Fauzia joined the Gorilla Organization in October 2011, she comes with a wealth of experience in the charity sector. She has worked at Wateraid, and the Charity Direct Marketing agency Whitewater where she worked with clients such as Age Concern, ITDG, Whales and Dolphins Conservation Society, Amnesty International and British Red Cross and Breakthrough Breastcancer.

Profile:
Being an organic key Farmer Trainer who wishes to share her own experience with others, Regina has worked with the Gorilla Organization for seven years. 11,000 farmers of Virunga mountains have now been trained by Regina and, like Regina, love the gorillas!

Role: Goma Resource Centre Assistant
Profile:
Alexandrine has been with the Gorilla Organization for eight years. She has a great love for the gorillas and the environment and is totally committed to protecting them. Alexandrine is eager to promote the rebuilding of the gorillas’ habitat.

Tuver has many years of journalism experience in the environmental, cultural and sporting sectors. He has been working with the Gorilla Organization since 1999 and is responsible for raising awareness to the gorillas’ plight through mass media. Tuver hopes to make the protection of nature an urgent priority for all.
