SATURDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2009
“This is the most fun event for conservation going on anywhere in the world” Bill Oddie 2008
There are many charity runs but none are quite like this – 1,000 people, all dressed up as gorillas and going ape for a day!
Since the first race in 2003, thousands of people have donned their gorilla suits and walked, run or jogged the 7km City of London route that takes in sights such as Tower Bridge and The Tate Modern.
If you like a challenge and agree that gorillas are amazing creatures, this is the event for you. By taking part you’ll be playing a crucial role in helping save the remaining 700 mountain gorillas left in the wild.
You’ll receive great support in the lead-up to the run to ensure you reach your fundraising target and are in shape for the race.
And on the day, you’ll feel like a star as the crowds cheer you on every step of the way. Three reasons for running 7km in a gorilla suit:
- Experience the unique buzz of going ape for the day
- Help save one of the world’s critically endangered species
- Get to keep a gorilla suit to wear anytime you want
Don’t take our word for it…
Here’s what one of previous runners said about the run:
“First can I thank you for organising such a hilarious event. Sheer genius. I haven’t run and laughed so much - ever! You should all be rightly proud of what you’ve achieved.”
