Great Gorilla Run 2010
13 September 2010

Conservationist, television presenter and national treasure Bill Oddie will once again bring his boundless enthusiasm to London’s streets, by firing the starting pistol for 2010’s Great Gorilla Run, which this year takes place on 26 September.

Bill, who has become a much loved fixture of the Great Gorilla Run, will also be there to welcome the 750 gorillas as they cross the finish line, before presenting medals to those who complete the 7k run, with his usual energy and humour.

"You would have to genuinely be the biggest killjoy not to go bananas for conservation and support hundreds of daft looking gorillas running around London," said Bill.

Now in its 8th year, the Great Gorilla Run sees hundreds of fun-loving, gorilla friendly people from all over the world will dress up in their free gorilla suits and run (or walk!) 7km to raise much-needed funds for the London based charity, the Gorilla Organization.

There is still time to sign up for this year’s Great Gorilla Run – visit www.greatgorillarun.org to find out more.

Even if you are not running do come along on the 26th September to take part in the festivities and watch the gorillas run around town! Click here and scroll down to see a map of the route.
