gorilla events

There are many people out there who are prepared to go that little bit further to raise much-needed funds for the gorillas. So we have launched the ‘Great Gorilla’ events programme for anyone who is up for trying something a little bit different!

Whether it be putting on a gorilla suit and running 7km, trekking through the Rwandan mountains, or joining the Gorilla Organization’s festivals teams – there is a fun way for everyone to help the gorillas!

The Great Gorilla Run

There are many charity runs but none are quite like this - 720 people, all dressed up as gorillas and going ape for a day!

The gorilla organization's biggest and best-known fundraising event, happens every year in September. it is the Great Gorilla Run, and it is a day when hundreds of fun-loving people dress up in gorilla suits and run or walk!) 7 km to raise funds for gorillas.
