A family doctor from North Yorkshire is donating money from sales of his wildlife calendar to the Gorilla Organization, after being moved by a visit to Rwanda to see gorillas in the wild.
Dr Mark Hayes, a GP at Tadcaster Medical Centre, travelled around Rwanda and Kenya for two weeks earlier this year, and took a variety of wildlife photographs including some stunning shots of mountain gorillas.
The African wildlife pictures have now been compiled into an A3-sized 2010 calendar, which is being sold for £12. The Gorilla Organization gets £6 from every sale, after the deduction of printing costs.

Dr Hayes says "I was extremely lucky to get close to a family of mountain gorillas and the photographs are amazing. I felt I should raise some money for the Gorilla Organization. The gorillas are just incredible, and the power and majesty of them is awe-inspiring."
There are still a few remaining calendars available. If you'd like to purchase one, please visit Dr Hayes's website
The Gorilla Organization has also just launched a new range of official merchandise, including a completely updated Amy Adoption Pack, a new selection of organically-produced t-shirts and a popular range of 'green gifts' including ranger kits and firewood-saving stoves.
